Analysis of drinking water supply capacity in urban regions during widespread disruptions
Development of a method for analyzing drinking water supply capacity: using hydraulic modeling to reliably examine the regional drinking water supply capacity of water utilities in widespread disruption situations affecting water supply. These disruption situations include regional drought, extreme weather events, widespread contamination, or deliberate damage, where a large part of water sources and critical network components are unavailable or restricted. The area is to be treated as a single entity. The task requires theoretical calculations and considerations, as well as the examination of drinking water supply capacity using a network model. An option of the project is the testing of the developed analysis method in another urban area. The activation of the option will be negotiated and decided between the contracting parties. Further information is available in the tender documents (especially task definition Appendix 2).
