Application Test of a Flowing Water Quality Model for Water Management
Application test of a flowing water quality model: Pilot implementation on the Braunsteichgraben - Legnitzka - Lausitzer Neiße (partial section) water system to investigate the practicability and evaluate the suitability of the model and software application as an instrument for measures planning and water management. This includes considering data bases, model area complexity, and addressable questions, the final evaluation of application possibilities and transferability to other flowing waters, as well as deriving practical recommendations and identifying optimization and development opportunities for the model software. The project addresses needs from action fields 5, 8, and 4 of the Saxon Action Program "Future Water for Saxony" (SMEKUL 2024).
