Archival Aerial Photographs from NARA for Poland (Part I) for Smart Geoportal Project
Acquisition of archival aerial photographs from the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) for the territory of the Republic of Poland (Part I) as part of the "Smart Geoportal" project. The service is divided into three stages: archival research of NARA resources and creation of a spatial (vector) database of aerial photograph coverages from 1939–1945; spatial analysis of territorial coverage and selection of an optimal set of reference materials for scanning; acquisition, digitization, and calibration (georeferencing) of scans as source material for future developments in selected test areas.
