Atmospheric plasma system: for condensation and nucleation experiments with various materials introduced into the plasma as powders; introduction of chemical elements as dissolved species in the solvent as a technical option; rapid vaporization of powders in the plasma and condensation as vapor moves away from the plasma; cooling enables homogeneous nucleation and condensation of nanometer-sized particles, collectible directly from the vapor along a thermal gradient, without prior interaction with the housing; chamber below the plasma for collecting nucleated particles from the cooled plasma-derived vapor; nucleation without interaction with internal chamber walls; collection of particles generated at different temperatures within the chamber possible.
