The outdoor installation includes battery containers, inverter skids, auxiliary transformers, and control and regulation systems. The BESS must provide balancing power (PRL, aFRR mFRR, optional instantaneous reserve), market-based management (arbitrage), and reactive power control according to VDE-AR-4110. The scope of services also includes fire protection, sound insulation measures, control system integration, EZA controller, system-internal wiring, acceptance measurements, support for VDE 4110 and VDE 4120 certification, training of operating personnel, and a maintenance and service contract. Civil engineering and foundation work, as well as the grid connection, will be provided by the client.
