Construction of Tunnels and Shafts for the MAXIMA Wastewater System
Construction of tunnels and shafts for the MAXIMA wastewater system: Divided into two separate contracts, 'Avloppstunnel Norr' and 'Avloppstunnel Söder', with bids possible for one or both. Avloppstunnel Norr includes 4 shafts and a 10.5 km long main tunnel with an internal diameter of approximately 3 meters, extending from southern Lund to Sjölunda (northeastern Malmö). Avloppstunnel Söder includes 11 shafts, 2 microtunnels, and a 5.5 km long main tunnel with an internal diameter of approximately 5 meters, running through central Malmö. The tunnels will transport wastewater by gravity and serve as storage during heavy rainfall. Both contracts include building, civil engineering, and installation works for the new wastewater tunnels.
