Interim Space Strategy for the German Museum's Library Building
Consulting, Planning, Coordination, and Implementation Services: Evacuation of the German Museum's library building, with approximately 29,200 m² usable area, by the end of 2029 in three phases. Phase I includes user needs analysis, inventory of facilities and collections (magazines, archives, storage areas, workshops), development of a space, area, and function program as a basis for transaction management and the development of rental and distribution scenarios, considering location-based and organizational dependencies, functional relationships, safety requirements, user needs, specialized area requirements, and real estate and expansion options. Phase II involves transaction management for identifying and securing suitable interim spaces. Phase III covers user, facility, and occupancy planning, change management to support employees during the introduction of new work environments and relocation, and the final move from the existing building to the new interim objects. Services are commissioned in stages.
