Depot, logistics, and relocation management services for the complete emptying of the building sections of the Senckenberg Natural History Museum Frankfurt affected by renovation (main building, south wing, Reimersbau) and subsequent return planning: consulting and project control, planning, logistics and relocation planning including return transport, coordination of relocation and return execution according to positions 1.1 to 2.6 of Annex L01_Leistungsbeschreibung. Stage 0 (fixed commissioning) includes the development of rough concepts for relocation planning, data collection, identification and definition of target properties, relocation conceptualization and budgeting, and the preparation of the service specification for packaging and transport services. Stage 1 (optional commissioning) involves relocation and logistics planning for moving out of the main building including its annexes. Stage 2 (optional commissioning) covers the planning and execution of the return move. The emptying of the affected building sections is required by mid-2030 at the latest, relocation planning begins from 2027, and implementation from approximately Q3/2028. A staggered return move is planned from 2033 at the earliest. The concept applies to research, museum, administration, laboratories, collections, archives, libraries, workshops, storage, and technical areas. Densification in the adjacent Jügelhaus and Arthur-von-Weinberg-Haus, as well as the examination of additional areas (deep storage, SBiK-F, external locations), is required. A public interim exhibition with approximately 1,000 m² of space is planned nearby. Special requirements exist for extensive, valuable, and fragile research and exhibition collections, which require conservational storage conditions, climate control, security measures, pest management, and partly restorative and scientific access (including dermoplastics, large objects, dry and wet collections, DNA samples, Micro-CT, molecular laboratories, IT systems). Individual exhibits such as the dinosaur mummy “Edmontosaurus” and the “Diorama corridor” remain on-site and must be protected. Services include support for inventory, area and usage concepts, time and process planning, tendering for packaging, transport, and storage services, coordination with users, specialist planners, and stakeholders, as well as planning and coordination of the later return. The net floor area to be moved is approximately 24,000 m² including traffic and technical areas. Difficulties include non-barrier-free transport routes, corridor and door widths, small elevators, and fragile and contaminated objects. The buildings (main building, south wing, Reimersbau, light courts 1 and 2) were built from 1907, and ongoing operations must be minimally affected. The main building and south wing have 4 stories plus basement, the Reimersbau has 6 stories plus basement, further items as per the tender documents.
