Service for Sheltering, Care, and Maintenance of Dangerous Stray Dogs for the Municipality of Castellammare di Stabia

Service for sheltering, care, and maintenance of animals: includes care and feeding (differentiated for puppies, adults, and seniors), cleaning, washing, disinfection, and continuous sanitization of boxes and designated areas. This encompasses health surveillance and veterinary care, including vaccinations, booster shots, parasite treatments, health prophylaxis, therapeutic treatment, and administration of veterinarian-prescribed medications. Management of injured, sick, and needy animals also involves isolation and quarantine. Transport of animals to shelter facilities or veterinary clinics for medical or surgical services is included. The service covers sheltering of dogs in distress in the absence or unavailability of the owner, collection and disposal of excrement and waste produced in the sanitary area, as well as the disposal of deceased animal carcasses in accordance with applicable laws. Further services include animal welfare management, animal education and re-education, microchip identification of dogs, updating the animal registry and health records, management of health and administrative documentation, maintenance of entry, stay, transfer, adoption, and death registers, timely communication of relevant events to the administration, and creation of photos and documentation for identification and potential adoption. Awareness activities aimed at dog adoptions and management of delivery procedures to adopters, 24/7 collaboration with the ASL Veterinary Service, including in emergencies, and management of aggressive or behavioral animals through socialization and behavioral management to facilitate adoption are also part of the scope. Provision of necessary trained personnel is required, along with all other activities needed to ensure the complete, correct, and continuous execution of the stray dog sheltering, care, and maintenance service.
