Dynamic Mechanical Analyzer (DMA)
Notice title: Dynamic Mechanical Analyzer (DMA)
Delivery of a Dynamic Mechanical Analyzer (DMA) for the South-Eastern Finland University of Applied Sciences (Xamk) at the Mikpolis RDI unit in Mikkeli, Finland. The delivery includes shipping costs to Mikkeli (Patteristonkatu 3, 50100 Mikkeli, Finland), installation, commissioning, and user training. The system is for the characterization of viscoelastic and mechanical properties of materials (polymers, composites, elastomers, biomaterials) as a function of temperature, frequency, time, and applied force/deformation, to determine storage and loss modulus, damping behavior, creep and stress relaxation behavior, and characteristic transition temperatures. It must provide accurate force and displacement measurement over a wide dynamic range, support measurements over a broad temperature and frequency range, offer controlled heating and cooling, and enable measurements under a controlled purge-gas atmosphere. Dynamic measurement modes include temperature, frequency, combined temperature-frequency, load, and time sweeps; static measurement capabilities include creep, stress relaxation, and universal testing. Included are sample holders and accessories for three-point bending, single and dual cantilever bending, tensile, compression, and penetration measurements. The software must enable instrument control, measurement execution, real-time monitoring, calibration, data acquisition, and analysis, with simultaneous measurement and evaluation, tools for determining characteristic temperatures/values, and export functions for measurement data/graphical results in common formats. The analysis software must be capable of opening and evaluating measurement data from existing NETZSCH DMA, DSC, and TGA systems to ensure compatibility with the existing laboratory workflow. The system must include calibration functions and materials for verification of force, dynamic response, system compliance, phase, and temperature measurement, with calibration procedures integrated into the instrument software. The complete solution must comprise a complete and operational DMA system including the instrument, temperature-control systems, sample holders, calibration accessories, measurement and analysis software, required computer equipment, installation, commissioning, and user training. A budget of EUR 130,000 (0% VAT) has been allocated; offers exceeding this amount will not be accepted.
