Attitudes towards Wealth Inequality in the Population (Survey Experiment)
Execution of a representative population survey as a survey experiment: Investigation of attitudes towards wealth inequality in Germany, including the assessment of wealth distribution compared to income distribution, one's own position in wealth distribution, social mobility regarding wealth, and related expectations. Furthermore, ideas about the causes of wealth inequality, the acceptance of perceived and actual distribution, principles of justice, the significance of wealth inequality for democracy and society, and preferences regarding redistribution and the participation of wealthy individuals in financing the common good will be analyzed. The study considers the influence of values, beliefs, personal expectations, and the perception of societal framework conditions, utilizing experimental survey components such as information treatments and vignette evaluations.
