Removal of competing trees for yews in the 'Cisy w Czarnem' nature reserve
Tree felling and undergrowth clearing in the 'Cisy w Czarnem' nature reserve: Felling of trees, including medium and large trees from the first and second canopy layers or individual branches (up to approx. 10 m height) that shade yews. Trees designated for felling are marked; a list of trees with their diameters is included in a table. Felling is to be done manually from below, with caution to avoid damaging yews and young yew growth. Felled trees may remain in the reserve, outside designated hiking trails and in locations that do not pose a threat to the yews. Additionally, undergrowth (mainly buckthorn, hazel, and beech) is to be cleared on a total area of approx. 3.60 ha where young yews grow; the areas are mapped in a .shp file. The cleared biomass must be removed from the reserve and can be stored at locations specified by the Czarne Człuchowskie Forest District (max. 200 m from the reserve boundary). The reserve is located in Człuchów County, Rzeczenica municipality, approx. 6.2 km northeast of Czarne, on state land managed by the Czarne Człuchowskie Forest District.
