Exchange of Experience and Planning of Cormorant Deterrent Measures for Lake Constance Management
Research: Evaluation of experiences with local and temporary deterrent measures against cormorants in the Lake Constance region and other European regions. Development of concepts for particularly endangered sub-populations of threatened fish species in the Lake Constance region, based on results regarding cormorant predation in the Lake Constance area. This includes researching, evaluating, and conceptualizing possible deterrent measures for cormorants in flowing waters, prioritizing specific fish populations (e.g., grayling populations), and developing action concepts for fish species protection through targeted deterrent measures in parts of the lake and its catchment area (e.g., Konstanzer Trichter, Seerhein).
