Detection and Assessment of Threat to Noble Crayfish by Invasive Crayfish Species 2027/2028

Detection and assessment of the threat to noble crayfish by invasive crayfish species: Investigation of waters and water sections according to Annex 1.2, Table 1, using the TROSCHEL 2006 assessment scheme (Annex 1.3) and FFH field protocols (Annex 1.4). Per investigation site, 10 baited crayfish traps (commercial boilies, preferably liver/garlic flavor) are to be deployed for approximately 1 week, with three control rounds per trap for checking and re-baiting. Traps must be disinfected before changing sampling locations. Surveys are to be conducted between early May and late October, with all work to be completed in 2027. The length of captured individuals and all other species (especially fish species) must be documented. Invasive crayfish species must be removed from the water and humanely killed; further items as per the tender documents.
