Quantum Frequency Converter

Quantum Frequency Converter (QFC system): Conversion of single photons from 1,529.44nm (C-Band, telecom wavelength) to 794.98nm (Rb-87-D1 line) via Sum-Frequency Generation (SFG), preserving quantum-mechanical properties and coherence. The system includes the required pump laser. Connection via PM fiber interfaces (FC/UPC) at input and output. An additional optical output for 1,529.44nm is provided, for feedback to the photon pair source and a locking system via optical fiber. Operation in a 19" rack in a temperature-controlled laboratory by qualified personnel. Photon pair source and 794.98nm reference laser are provided by DLR.
