Fecal sludge removal from domestic septic tanks and collection pits in Wuppertal: approximately 1,812 private wastewater systems, comprising 1,688 collection pits and 124 domestic septic tanks. The collection pits include 120 systems from > 0 m³ to 4.9 m³, 280 systems from 5.0 m³ to 9.9 m³, 415 systems from 10.0 m³ to 14.9 m³, and 936 systems from > 15.0 m³. Emptying frequency varies by load; canal development measures may reduce removal volumes during the contract term.
