The device is intended for C-hepatitis elimination in the Central Finland welfare area, enabling low-threshold C-hepatitis treatment without venous blood samples by assessing the liver via elastography. The procurement is conducted as a direct award due to a sole supplier (Mediplast Fenno Oy) for technical reasons or to protect exclusive rights, as no reasonable alternative or substitute solutions are available. The estimated total value excluding VAT for a 48-month contract period is 60,000 Euro.
