Research project for strengthening warning effectiveness through community-based approaches
Research project for strengthening warning effectiveness: Investigation into how warning authorities can better consider civil society networks and intermediary structures in warning preparedness communication and warnings, to establish lasting connections with representatives and organizations of diverse target groups. This includes literature research, development of a concept for the BBK to identify warning needs and communicate civil protection risks in exchange with civil society actors, development of a guideline for municipalities on community-based risk and crisis communication and the establishment of long-term trustful exchange with intermediary actors, and support for a pilot municipality to test the developed methods and formats.
