Total consulting and assistance for the urban development project from Albani Torv to The Historic Staircase: Processing and redesign of public urban spaces around Albani Torv, Skt. Knuds Plads, and adjacent areas. The project includes improvements at Albani Torv, the transformation of Skt. Knuds Plads, adjustments at Flakhaven and Klingenberg, and the establishment of The Historic Staircase. It creates coherent, robust urban spaces with high quality of stay and movement and strengthens connections between the Cathedral, City Hall, Odense Å, and Nonnebakken. The historical connection between Albani Torv and Skt. Knuds Plads to Eventyrhaven is clarified through a pedestrian-friendly, green transformation of Skt. Knuds Plads with a history-conveying staircase connection. The connection from Eventyrhaven and Odense Å to Albani Torv is strengthened by the transformation of the corner area and access to the square, including extended historical dissemination of the original Skt. Albani Church and the killing of King Knud. The “traffic-like” appearance is removed by leveling differences, removing curbs, and re-laying pavements with a focus on reusing existing fine granite materials.
