General Planning Services for the Maximiliansbrücken Bridges
General planning services for the Maximiliansbrücken bridges (BW33/11 A and BW33/11 B): Object planning for engineering structures according to § 43 HOAI, service phases 1 – 8; object planning for traffic facilities according to § 47 HOAI, service phases 1 – 8; specialist planning for structural engineering of engineering structures HOAI, service phases 1 – 7; construction logistics planning, utility coordination and interface alignment, and traffic phase planning. The listed Maximiliansbrücken bridges in district 01, Altstadt-Lehel, consist of two natural stone arch bridges (shell limestone) with concrete pier foundations and granite abutment benches. The Inner Maximiliansbrücke is a 3-span arch bridge made of brick and natural stone vaulting, while the Outer Maximiliansbrücke is a 2-span arch bridge with a three-hinged arch made of shell limestone. Both bridge sections feature 1x motorized individual traffic (MIV) lane per direction, 1x tram track per direction, and 1x pedestrian and cycle path in both directions. An expert opinion from 2017 identified damage to the bridge's waterproofing, with detachments and reduced adhesion at two inspection points. Chloride analysis confirmed the functionality of the waterproofing in the examined areas, but local damage/material defects could impair the sealing function in the long term. Renewal of the entire bridge's waterproofing is recommended during the tram track construction (presumably 2025) to ensure functional waterproofing for the estimated lifespan of the tram tracks (approx. 25-30 years), and to create a permanent drainage option for the ballast bed, further items as per the tender documents.
