Flood Protection Works for Barranco de la Saleta in Aldaia and Xirivella
Flood protection works for reducing flood risk in Aldaia and Xirivella: Channeling of Barranco de la Saleta floods to the new Turia riverbed, including environmental adaptation of Barranco de la Saleta, channelization starting at CV 410 (access to Aldaia, industrial zone, Bonaire shopping center), an underground diversion conduit under the industrial park and bordering Aldaia urban area, and an open-section greenway from the Aldaia, Xirivella, Alaquas roundabout to EDAR Quart Benager for discharge into the new Turia riverbed. The project combines solutions from 'Drenaje del Barranco de la Saleta' and 'Vía verde de conexión del barranco de la Saleta con el río Turia, Valencia' projects, and is part of the Flood Risk Management Plan (PGRI) and the plan for recovery and resilience against floods in the Valencian Community. Works also include the restoration and adaptation of the natural riverbeds of Barranco del Poyo (Phase I) and the ravines of Torrente, Chiva, and Pozalet.
