The basic need involves the prolongation of maintenance and support for existing perpetual IBM webMethods licenses. Additionally, during the contract term, orders may include: further IBM webMethods licenses and subscriptions, additional or fixed-term maintenance and support rights, extended support, IBM Expert Labs or other IBM-supported expert services, and assistance with lifecycle management, capacity extension, containerization, and controlled modernization. A predefined "hypercare" service and temporary 24/7 support are also available. The objective is to preserve the existing core-based license model, ensure continuity, support, lifecycle tracking, and controlled evolution of the existing IBM webMethods integration environment, including evolution towards container technology. The framework agreement aims at the preservation, support, and controlled modernization of the existing IBM webMethods B2B integration environment, not the acquisition of a new platform.
