Information System for Agroecological Zoning

Notice title: Agroekološko zoniranje

Information system for agroecological zoning: Analysis, design, development, implementation, testing, production launch, user training, and warranty maintenance of an integrated information system for agroecological zoning of the Republic of Croatia (AEZ system). The system serves as a central national platform for collecting, managing, analyzing, modeling, visualizing, and distributing agroecological data and analysis results. It aims to establish a unique digital environment for identifying and monitoring agroecological zones, assessing suitability for specific agricultural crops, creating scenario analyses, and supporting expert and strategic decisions in agricultural policy, natural resource management, and climate change adaptation. The system must enable processing large amounts of spatial and temporal data, complex analytical processes, and result distribution via web GIS interfaces and standardized service interfaces. Services and requirements are detailed in Annex I – Project of Agroecological Zoning of the Republic of Croatia 2025–2028. Upon project completion, the delivered system must provide the following functionalities: calculation of national agroecological zones of Croatia, assessment of suitability for agricultural crops, comparison of climate scenarios and crop development scenarios based on input data and predictive models, centralized management of spatial and analytical data, web GIS overview of agroecological zones, data exchange via OGC and REST services, and long-term upgradeability and sustainability.
