Refurbishment of Jenbacher Gas Engines
Refurbishment of two Jenbacher gas engines (No. 1 and 2) at the South Pest Wastewater Treatment Plant of Fővárosi Csatornázási Művek Zrt.: 30,000 operating hour overhaul according to manual for engines powered by biogas (at least 60% methane) from the digestion of sewage sludge and high organic waste. Engine types are JENBACHER JMS 312 GS-N/B.L (installed 2001, 625 kW electrical, 686 kW thermal, 40.0% electrical efficiency, 43.9% thermal efficiency) and JMS 316 GS-B/N.LC (installed 2005, 836 kW electrical, 934 kW thermal, 39.9% electrical efficiency, 44.6% thermal efficiency), with generators STAMFORD HC 1634H2 and STAMFORD CGH1734E2. Services include engine shutdown, turbocharger factory maintenance, cooler removal and chemical cleaning, replacement of spark plugs, gas valve connectors, potentiometer, water pump, cylinder heads, starter motor, main bearings, connecting rods, cylinder liners, valve lifters, gaskets, generator bearings, oil filters, turbo circuit oil filters, and air filters, engine inspection, and gas engine commissioning. Also included are a 10-day successful trial operation per engine and a 100-operating hour revision per engine. Only new, original Jenbacher spare parts may be used. Waste disposal, especially of contaminated wash water from the cleaning of the base and container, must be ensured according to regulations. The execution period is a maximum of 125 calendar days from site handover, including refurbishment, the 10-day trial operation, and the 100-operating hour revision per gas engine. The refurbishment of the gas engines must be carried out sequentially.
