Sewage Sludge Disposal 2027-2032
Sewage sludge disposal: Collection and thermal treatment as mono-incineration of sewage sludge from the Kaufbeuren municipal wastewater treatment plant, including phosphorus recovery as legally required. From 2027 to 2028, thermal treatment will be mono-incineration; from 2029, thermal treatment will be mono-incineration combined with legally mandatory phosphorus recovery. The sewage sludge is mechanically dewatered using a centrifuge, has a dry solids content of approx. 25 – 35 % DS, and an annual disposal quantity of approx. 2,500 t.
