Concept for Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) Implementation: Equipping the Institute of Pathology at Klinikum Chemnitz gGmbH with a sequencing device for detecting genetic alterations at DNA and RNA level (from FFPE, Liquid Biopsy), ensuring proficiency testing, sarcoma diagnostics based on specific gene fusion determination, sequencing of more than 500 biomarkers (HRD, TMB, MSI), WES sequencing capability, compatibility for third-party assays (“Open System”), a fully automated system, ability to display polyrepetitive sequence areas, and data evaluation and analysis. Approximately 400 to 500 sequencings are currently performed per year, with an expected increase to 650 to 700 per year. A significant training phase is anticipated. Proof of highest technical expertise through 3 references is required.
