Concession for port operation services at Vuosaari Harbour: Two existing contracts for port operation services in the western area of Vuosaari Harbour expire on 2.2.2027. A new tender for operations starting 1.1.2029 will be launched in 2027. To secure port operations during the transitional period, a direct award is being made for a maximum of 22 months, commencing on 3.2.2027. This direct award is conditional and will terminate with a six (6) month notice period if a new operator from the future tender can commence operations before 1.1.2029. The direct award is based on technical reasons and the impossibility of changing contractors without significant detriment or duplicate costs for the contracting authority, particularly due to the required integration into the port's access control and shunting area systems, further items as per the tender documents.
