Cryogen-free dilution refrigerator
Cryogen-free dilution refrigerator: For the study and development of superconducting energy-resolving single-photon detectors (MKIDs) for exoplanet spectroscopy at visible to near-infrared wavelengths. The system must demonstrate detectors at a scale of tens of thousands of pixels and requires optical access to the cryostat from outside. Readout with at least 16 coaxial lines is necessary. Operation is cryogen-free without liquid Helium, with specific requirements for vibration isolation due to thin membranes. The system should allow fully automated cryogenic operation as well as full manual control.
