Control Center Operations and Driving Personnel for On-Demand Service Bussi

Control center operations, telephone booking acceptance, and provision of driving personnel for the on-demand service Bussi: The Ruhrbahn's Bussi service is an on-demand offering integrated into public transport within the city of Essen. It supplements regular line services with flexible, demand-oriented trips, which are dispatched based on specific ride requests rather than fixed routes. Multiple ride requests can be bundled by the system. Pick-up locations include physical Ruhrbahn stops and virtual stops, situated approximately 250 m apart throughout the city. Bookings are made digitally via the rufmobil.nrw app. The contractor is solely responsible for operating the Bussi service. Temporarily, selected cross-city zones along Essen's border may be served, expected as part of funding from the state of NRW. A telephone booking option will be provided in addition to app bookings.
