Supply of medication and mother carts for the expansion of the unit-dose medication distribution system at Valencia University Hospital

Supply of medication and mother cart systems, including their computerization: Expansion of the unit-dose medication distribution system (SDMDU) at Valencia University Hospital (HCUV) for clinical units and services in Phase 1. Mother carts are for transporting medication between the Pharmacy Service and hospitalization units; dispensing carts are for each hospitalization unit with SDMDU. The number of carts depends on the number of hospitalization units with unit doses and the capacity of each cart. Each compartment holds medication for one patient for a maximum of 24 hours. Cassettes, trays, or cases used in each dispensing cart require a duplicate, which remains in the Pharmacy Service and allows for empty-to-full exchange.
