Delivery of school fruit and vegetables for public compulsory schools in Vienna

Delivery of fresh fruit and vegetables to all public compulsory schools in Vienna participating in the Vienna School Fruit Program starting from the school year 2027/28: weekly delivery during school operation to currently 386 schools and approximately 40 branch offices; approximately 5,500 boxes of single-variety, seasonal, and regional fruits per delivery, with each class receiving one box and each box providing one portion of fruit or vegetables per child; number of delivery weeks per school year between 22 and 29 weeks; consideration of environmental sustainability; processing of funding with AgrarMarkt Austria (AMA) within the EU School Program for Fruit, Vegetables, and Milk, including pre-financing; the contracting authority covers the cost share not covered by AMA (currently approximately 60% plus VAT).
