Ventilation and Control Technology for Mittelpunkt-Grundschule Hungen
Ventilation and Control Technology: Complete installation for a two-story extension (timber frame/CLT construction) during ongoing school operations. The ventilation technology includes the new installation of a central ventilation unit with integrated control/switch cabinet on the new building's roof for supply and exhaust ventilation of all rooms in the extension. Heat generation for the air handling unit is provided by a VRF system placed next to the unit. Ventilation is to be implemented using CO2 control and variable volume flow regulators, with an operating device including a CO2 sensor provided in each room. Basic ventilation is set at 1/3 of the total air volumes, increasing to the full air volume when CO2 levels rise. Supply air to classrooms is via displacement diffusers on the floor and grilles in the ceiling coffers, while exhaust air is discharged selectively via grilles in the ceiling coffers. All ducts on the roof will receive weatherproof insulation with sheet metal casing, and all supply air ducts inside the building will be insulated. Fire protection is ensured by motorized fire dampers. Additionally, battery room ventilation is to be installed in the existing building. For building automation, local switch cabinets with automation stations (ASP) are to be provided, enabling central recording, display, and remote control via the internet (VLAN) of all control processes in the new building. MODBUS TCP/IP is specified as the bus system, and all cables laid by the electrical trade must be connected.
