Measurement and analysis of halogenated hydrocarbon compounds at Zugspitze measuring station

Technical support for the Federal Environment Agency: establishment, commissioning, start-up operation, and scientific-technical establishment of a MEDUSA measurement system for the continuous determination of long-lived climate-effective halogenated trace gases (especially CFCs) at the GAW station Zugspitze. The support includes installation and commissioning of the MEDUSA system, configuration of hardware and software (including GCWerks evaluation software according to AGAGE standards), provision and implementation of calibration and reference standards for continuous measurement operation, technical support during the start-up phase, and scientific evaluation and classification of quality-assured measurement data. The goal is to establish stable, quality-assured, and AGAGE-compatible operation and build competence among station personnel. Further technical details are available in the service description.
