Model comparison for water retention in the area to prepare water balance modeling in the Löbauer Wasser

Development of foundations for selecting model software for building a water balance model in the Löbauer Wasser catchment area: This includes four service components. First, an initial assessment of seven current water balance models regarding the modelability of water retention measures, calibration/validation possibilities, derivability of water balance requirements, and other criteria. Based on this, two (optionally three) models will be selected and investigated in detail. The investigation comprises the presentation of the modelability of the effectiveness of selected water retention measures with exemplary implementation, the possibility for calibration and validation of the models using existing observational data, and the presentation of the functionality for deriving the fulfillment of water balance requirements of various stakeholders.
