Hamster Monitoring in Saxony-Anhalt (FFH Directive) 2027-2028
Hamster monitoring in Saxony-Anhalt: Preparation, execution, evaluation, and documentation of a complete monitoring cycle for the years 2027 and 2028. The service includes the selection of suitable investigation areas within predefined state monitoring area pools, coordination with land users and managers, field surveys according to binding methodological guidelines, and the recording and evaluation of population and habitat-related parameters. Fieldwork is to be carried out in the investigation years 2027 and 2028. Each of the eleven monitoring areas must be fully processed once within the contract period, with the work generally split approximately 50/50 between 2027 and 2028; deviations of up to 10% between annual segments are permissible. Approximately 350 ha of arable land are to be investigated per monitoring area, of which about 70 ha constitute the actual mapping area. Mapping must be carried out according to vegetation and harvest development within the professionally specified collection periods. The contract also includes the input and processing of all collected data, as well as the creation of an interim report for the investigation year 2027 and a final report for the complete monitoring cycle 2027/2028. Deliverables include reports, data tables, digital photos, overview and thematic maps, ESRI-Shapefiles, and database files. Regular technical coordination with the client will take place during the contract period, typically through monthly project meetings.
