Monitoring of Vertebrate Species in Natura 2000 Areas, 2026-2028
Monitoring of vertebrate species: Continuation of the Species and Natural Habitats Monitoring (MGSP) within the State Environmental Monitoring, including monitoring the conservation status of 23 animal species and preparing approx. 8,711 monitoring reports from monitoring stations. This also includes preparing 24 animal species monitoring reports, conducting surveys on bear, wolf, and lynx occurrence, revising and updating monitoring methodologies for selected species, developing and publishing a Nature Monitoring Bulletin summarizing the Article 17 Habitats Directive report for the European Commission for 2019-2024 regarding animal species, developing a Nature Monitoring Bulletin with animal monitoring results from 2025-2027, developing recommendations for subsequent monitoring years, and maintaining the GIOŚ electronic survey for species distribution monitoring.
