Sustainability Coordination for School New Construction and Expansion Hanselmannstraße/Schleißheimer Straße

Sustainability coordination for BNB_QNG certification: The school campus GS Hanselmannstraße/MS Schleißheimer Straße will be structurally reorganized and expanded. The existing primary school building (Hanselmannstr. 44) with a single sports hall will be modernized but not certified. The mobile room unit of the primary school (Hanselmannstr. 45), the old middle school buildings (Schleißheimer Str. 275), and the House for Children (Schleißheimer Str. 279) will be demolished. Two new buildings, to be certified, will be constructed: a multi-functional building for the primary school/middle school including a canteen and a connecting bridge (Construction Phase 1) with approx. 12,427 m² gross floor area and approx. 54,731 m³ gross volume, and a multi-functional building for the House for Children/double sports hall (Construction Phase 2) with approx. 3,505 m² gross floor area and approx. 22,201 m³ gross volume. The new buildings are to be constructed partly or entirely in wood or wood-hybrid construction. The sustainability concept includes measures for optimizing the building envelope, summer heat protection, ventilation concepts, and renewable energy supply. The use of renewable raw materials, embodied grey energy, recyclability, and durability of building materials will be considered. For urban greenery, intensive greening with large trees, green roofs and facades, and the promotion of biodiversity are planned. Building certification will follow the BNB assessment system. The school campus will include a 4-stream primary school with cooperative full-day care and a single sports hall, a 4-stream middle school with 1 transition class, a double sports hall without grandstand and an assembly hall, a canteen, an official residence THV, and a House for Children with 2 crèche groups and 4 kindergarten groups.
