Social Innovation Network West Athens

Improvement of quality and effectiveness of social inclusion actions: Development of advanced forms of integrated social service provision and enhancement of the skills of scientific staff in the Social Structures of West Athens, implemented within the inter-municipal social network "KAINOTOMΩ". The project includes continuous monitoring and improvement of the results of social inclusion, empowerment, and care services provided by the partner municipalities of VAA/OXE West Athens 2021-2027. Capacity building for staff of municipal social structures and local social bodies remains a key issue for improving the quality and effectiveness of social inclusion and strengthening interdisciplinary collaborations. The development and deepening phase of the Social Innovation Network aims at improving the ergonomics and functionality of digital applications, introducing innovative field tools, integrating new subsystems for monitoring referrals, re-referrals, and interdisciplinary collaborations, piloting AI tools (LLMs) for improving diagnosis and needs assessment, systematically developing a "Social Inclusion, Empowerment and Care Protocol (ΠΚΕΕΦ)" as the foundation for a unified social policy approach in the municipalities, parallel real-time evaluation of actions from the start of implementation, ensuring the sustainability of interventions/services after the current ESF+ funding period ends, and forming a framework for the sustainability and durability of the results of the overall social cohesion intervention in West Athens, referring to direct and indirect beneficiaries (vulnerable groups and field staff of social structures), and their dissemination as reform proposals for the implementation and evaluation of social inclusion processes at inter-municipal/regional and national scale (scaling-up), combined with the network's outreach activities and the establishment of the "Social Innovation Partnership of West Athens". The partnership will contribute to the understanding, dissemination, and scaling-up of social innovation results, also at a European level, further items as per the tender documents.
