Ecological Construction Supervision for Urban Development Project Wiesbaden-Ostfeld

Ecological construction supervision for the urban development project Wiesbaden-Ostfeld: Monitoring of explosive ordnance disposal and archaeological excavation on an area of approximately 45 hectares to avoid and minimize impacts on nature and landscape, and to ensure compliance with nature conservation regulations according to §§ 39 and 44 BNatSchG, the landscape protection area ordinance, and permit conditions. The archaeological excavation covers 36 hectares within zones 1 to 7 from 01.09.2026 to 31.03.2029 (estimated duration 30 months, possible start 01.03.2027) with up to 20 people simultaneously. Explosive ordnance disposal takes place from 01.09.2026 to 31.03.2027 (mandatory work until 31.03.2027 with species protection measures) and includes the clearing of disturbance points in zones 7 and 8, four unexploded ordnance suspected points in zones 1 and 5, and the removal of foundation remnants in zone 1. The project area is predominantly agricultural land with significance for the species protection of open-land species such as ground-nesting birds.
