Planning services for the expansion of space capacities at the Ernst Barlach Gymnasium in Schönberg: The listed building complex is located on a 9,482 m² plot with a building footprint of 1,160 m². A barrier-free extension building is planned, featuring flexible functional areas on the ground floor, including a forum with a canteen. Re-purposing measures are planned in the existing building: a classroom in the basement (45.20 m²) possibly into a staff room, the dining room in the basement (45.10 m²), the chemistry room in the basement (59.30 m²) into a classroom, a coordinator's room on the ground floor (13.95 m²) for the school social worker, the biology room on the 2nd floor (41.88 m²) into a classroom, the art room on the 2nd floor (50.07 m²) into a physics room, the archive in the attic (15.40 m²) for coordinators, the IT/server room in the attic (23.40 m²) into a storage room, and the cafeteria on the ground floor of the annex (23.47 m²) into a teaching kitchen. Building permit applications and a feasibility study must be considered. Planning must adhere to the cubature as per the preliminary decision and feasibility study. Construction is expected to start by the end of 2028, at the latest early 2029, with an estimated construction period of 2 years. Additional special services may be added and billed hourly; participation in regular planning and construction meetings is required.
