Power-Hardware-in-the-Loop System for the Institute of Electrical Energy Technology
Delivery and commissioning of a Power-Hardware-in-the-Loop (PHIL) system: The system includes a real-time simulator for calculating low, medium, and high voltage grids as well as distribution transformers in real-time, including the simulation of power electronic components (optionally with FPGA support). Analog and digital inputs/outputs can be via D-Sub connectors or equivalent. An RCP-PHIL converter transforms simulator control variables into physical voltage and current signals and must be able to supply subnetworks of a hardware low-voltage replica, with a rated power of at least 32 kVA. The amplifier can also be used independently as a converter in the distribution grid laboratory. A proven, coordinated, and plug-and-play capable overall system is expected, with functionality to be demonstrated during commissioning and training. A modular, separate design for the real-time simulator and power amplifier is permissible.
