Combined Marine and Construction Allrisk Insurance and Third Party Liability Insurance for HV/DC Grid Connection Systems North Sea Connector 1 and 2

Combined Marine and Construction Allrisk Insurance for HV/DC Grid Connection Systems North Sea Connector 1 and North Sea Connector 2: The systems include offshore converters with auxiliary equipment, 525kV 2 GW DC offshore cable systems to DC converters onshore (Nordhub / Heidehub), 525kV 2 GW DC onshore cable systems from KAS to onshore converters, and onshore converter stations with auxiliary equipment. Onshore converters at Nordhub / Heidehub and 525kV 2 GW DC onshore cable systems from Nordhub / Heidehub to KAS are not part of this tender. Coverage includes 'all risks' of physical loss or damage for North Sea Connector 1 and 2 projects, including wreck removal, debris removal, and sue & labour. A seamless transition from marine to construction allrisk insurance is planned. Insurance coverage begins with the start of first construction works, estimated Q2 2027. The insurance period ends with the final project handover, estimated 2033, followed by 24 months of extended maintenance. The total insurable value is approx. 9.8 billion EUR (primary policy). For North Sea Connector 1 and 2, separate policies are required with a single loss limit of 800,000,000 EUR per project (not cumulative). Additionally, third party liability insurances (primary and excess layer policies) are tendered.
