Expert report on the quantification and communication of efficiency and cost benefits from additional cooling in geothermal probe systems (QuKEE): Model-based analysis of cost advantages through regeneration and heat storage for typical heating and cooling applications, prepared for various target groups. The model considers building and usage profiles, probe field, subsurface, and regeneration options, calculates energy efficiency, final energy, total and production costs, and presents savings potentials. Model boundary conditions are to be practical, with at least three support points for parameter variations, and cover scales from single-family homes to district level.
