Clearing and Cleaning Works for Berching Ship Lock System
Cleaning and clearing works for the complete Berching lock system: Cleaning of concrete and steel surfaces, including the lock chamber, both longitudinal canals, the entire main flow system, the upper inlet funnel, the entire pump canal including its inlet area, and the 3 saving basins with their inlets. This covers all dewatered areas between the upper and lower water inspection closures, as well as all steel surfaces such as upper and lower gates, longitudinal canal, and saving basin closures, both inside and out. The surfaces are predominantly covered with sludge, algae, and mussels; these contaminants must be removed using high-pressure cleaning. A specific item for scraping off massive mussel growth on concrete surfaces is included. Steel constructions require intensive cleaning to enable detection of cracks in welds. Larger sludge and sand deposits in the upper lock chamber, upper inlet area, entire main flow system, and the 3 saving basins must be collected and transported to areas designated by the client within the lock premises. Disposal of the cleared material is not part of this tender. The cleaning works are a prerequisite for a structural inspection according to VV-WSV 2101; the lock chamber and pump canal will be dewatered by the client.
