Shunting Services for Medite Europe DAC

Shunting services for MDF packs at the Medite production site in Redmondstown, Clonmel, Co. Tipperary: Provision of equipment, vehicles, labour, and services 6 days a week for moving MDF packs to various warehouse locations within a 1 km and 20 km radius of the production site. Occasional shunting to SmartPly (Belview Port) within a 50 km radius may be required. Required are a certified articulated tractor unit (max. 44 mts, dedicated to Medite DAC), 2 x 13.3 mt curtain sided trailers with headboards (dedicated to Medite, maintained by service provider), certified ratchet straps, and the ability to provide backup equipment. Personnel must be experienced in coupling and de-coupling, on-site at all times, and capable of providing replacement staff during illness or holidays. Drivers must be CPC certified with knowledge of warehouse and port operations; one nominated driver is required at all times. Personnel employment must comply with the Safety Health + Welfare Work Act of 2005, with the service provider holding Duty of Care. A sustainable solution to reduce the Scope 3 carbon footprint is to be offered. An average of 26 mts per load is shunted, approximately 15 to 20 loads per day, totaling approximately 3,500 to 4,500 loads/shunts per annum. Work for a minimum of 4 hours on Sundays or Bank Holidays is required as needed. The mill's Christmas closure (minimum 2 days) will be notified by the end of October. further items as per the tender documents.
