Landscaping for New HOVER AMS Laboratory Construction

Construction of the external facilities in the immediate vicinity of a research hall currently under construction with an attached cleanroom laboratory (Building 703, Hover AMS Laboratory) at KIT Campus North in Eggenstein-Leopoldshafen. The project includes extensive earthworks, drainage and utility works, as well as the creation of paved areas and paths. Key quantities include, among others, 180,000 m² of concrete paving stones (30x15x8 cm) as drainage joint stones, 40,000 m² of lawn joint paving stones, and 1,730 m² of topsoil removal. The landscaping and groundskeeping trade dominates the tender.

Ventilation Systems for the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology

Renewal of the defunct ventilation system for lecture hall 30.33 in the building of the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) Campus Süd. The measure includes the replacement of the central air handling unit (volume flow 8,000 m³/h) in the basement and the renewal of ventilation ducts and fire dampers. In addition, cleaning work on existing ventilation ducts (including DN200 and 1250x250mm) and the installation of air diffusers and silencers are to be carried out. The trade of ventilation systems according to DIN 18379 completely dominates the tender.
