Restoration of Archival Material for the Bautzen City Archive

Framework agreement for the restoration of archival material: approx. 10,000 EUR gross per fiscal year, contract period from 01.01.2027 to 31.12.2029. Services include remediation of material damage due to chemical, biological, and mechanical influences, mold eradication, dry cleaning, loosening and re-sorting of bindings, paper processing/restoration (closing tears, filling missing parts), wet treatment, dissolving adhesions, fiber reinforcement, stabilization of bindings, cover and wrapper restoration, re-binding/re-stitching, treatment of ink and acid corrosion, and potentially conservation binding. Required are proof of professional/business liability insurance, restoration insurance (minimum 1,000,000 EUR coverage), staff qualifications, membership in VDR e.V. or a comparable professional institution, and at least two reference projects from the last five years; further items as per the tender documents.
