Shell Construction Works for Tram Central Workshop Hall Extension

Shell construction works for the extension of the tram central workshop (STZW) of Stadtwerke Verkehrsgesellschaft Frankfurt am Main (VGF): The hall extension is approx. 9.00 m high and extends over a length of approx. 118.50 m, positioned approx. 25.00 m in front of the existing structure to the west, with a northern extension along track 25. The hall is approx. 9.25 m wide in the eastern single-track area and approx. 18.00 m wide in the western area including the extension in track 25. A pit is planned in the area of track 26, and the hall will have a basement in the middle for access to the maintenance pit and as additional storage space. The scope of services includes various demolition works (paving, window bands, gate etc.), UXO detection for bored piles, white tank construction for basement and maintenance pits, approx. 55 t steel girders for soldier pile walls, approx. 450 m² timber and shotcrete infill for shoring, approx. 350 m bored piles DN 75 cm as a discontinuous bored pile wall, approx. 210 m² shotcrete infill for bored pile wall, approx. 420 m micropiles, approx. 3,350 m³ excavation, approx. 1,450 m³ backfilling of working spaces, approx. 1,500 m³ blinding layer, approx. 33 pcs. socket foundations, approx. 1,830 m³ perimeter insulation for floor and wall, approx. 430 m³ in-situ concrete for floor slabs, approx. 120 m³ in-situ concrete for basement and maintenance pits, approx. 30 m³ in-situ concrete for basement ceiling, approx. 710 m² composite screed (fast-setting screed), approx. 26 pcs. frost aprons made of precast reinforced concrete (length up to 5.00 m), approx. 51 pcs. columns made of precast reinforced concrete (socket/pendulum type, length up to 10.50 m), approx. 30 pcs. roof beams made of precast reinforced concrete (length up to 8.50 m), approx. 1,250 m² pre-stressed hollow core slabs, approx. 270 m² double wall elements as semi-prefabricated parts, and approx. 770 m² aerated concrete planks for the facade (horizontal).
