Anechoic Radio Frequency (RF) Chamber for Sähkötalo, Hervanta Campus
Anechoic Radio Frequency (RF) Chamber: Procurement of an anechoic RF chamber for wireless communication technology, to be integrated into the WICO research environment and primarily used by the Tampere Wireless Research Center. The facility will be used for conducting Over-The-Air (OTA) antenna measurements, supporting advanced research and experimental validation in wireless communications. A dedicated space for both the chamber and an adjacent control room is allocated in the Sähkötalo building, F-wing, at ground-floor level. The selected supplier is required to conduct a site survey promptly after contract signing. The area is undergoing renovation, scheduled for completion by the end of April 2027. Construction of the anechoic chamber is expected to commence beginning May 2027, with an anticipated construction period during spring-summer 2027. A maximum budget of 500,000 € (excl. VAT) is available.
