Protective Groundwater Pumping for Contamination Plume No. 11 at ORLEN Unipetrol Litvínov

Protective groundwater pumping: Operation of a protective perimeter drain KM11 and four remediation wells, discharge of pumped water to the wastewater treatment plant (BČOV) of ORLEN Unipetrol RPA s.r.o. and its treatment, monitoring of pumped water from the drain and wells, and maintenance and cleaning of the remediation and monitoring system. The objective is to create a hydraulic depression to prevent the outflow of contaminated water from contamination plume no. 11 outside the company premises and to remove dissolved pollution from the groundwater. Services are to be performed according to the project documentation from November 2025 by VODNÍ ZDROJE, a.s. and implement a decision by ČIŽP to prevent the spread of groundwater contamination.
